Acden holidays and election days

On Thursday afternoons (voting day) and Friday mornings (rest), all the shops are closed except the cafes near public Acden offices.

December 30th and 31st, January 1st and January 2nd are holidays. They correspond to the celebrations of the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.

July 30th and 31st, as well as August 1st and 2nd are holidays. They correspond to the festivals of Acden and Utopia.

January 3: nominations and elections of the members of the committees of the units and of Utopia. The members of the Ethics Committee are chosen by random draw first. It then directs and animates the elections of the members of the governmental committees and the government. The members of the Ethics Committee take an oath on January 3, followed by diplomats and members of the Units and Utopia government.

Oath: I swear on my honour that I will be conscientious, impartial and tolerant in my work as a member of the Ethics Committee (or others).

January 4th: nominations, elections and oaths of the committee members of the

Neighbourhoods directed and animated by the members of the wellbeing committees.

Ethics and wellbeing committees organize the swearing-in of committee members appointed during the year.
